Chrystianne DeAlmeida, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of New York. She has over a decade of experience providing treatment as well as supervising and teaching students of psychology and psychiatry.   Dr. DeAlmeida has held faculty appointments at Columbia University, Department of Psychiatry, College of Physician and Surgeons, and New York University School of Medicine.

She obtained her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The New School for Social Research and her undergraduate degree from Stonehill College.

Dr. DeAlmeida is fluent and provides services in both Spanish and Portuguese, and has experience providing treatment over the internet.

Dr. DeAlmeida is skilled in the treatment of a number of emotional and behavioral issues, including stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, and relationship challenges.  While psychodynamically trained, Dr.DeAlmeida has obtained advanced training in a number of evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT).
